The strength of a university’s athletics program is often based on its ability to bring student-athletes, fans, faculty and donors harmoniously within the constrained spaces available to landlocked campuses. The innovative Erin J. Lastinger Athletics Complex, a dynamic hybrid structure that combines both a football/soccer stadium and an aquatics center into one facility, is the centerpiece of a restricted site that also includes classrooms, administrative offices, jogging track, field house and a state-of-the-art subterranean parking structure featuring 900 spaces on 2 levels.
Through maximizing the site opportunity below-grade, this parking structure provides a significant amount of support to the university’s highly developed athletic program.
