The Franklin Avenue Parking Structure evolved from Warner Bros. Studios' need to reduce the number of vehicles parked in the studio area, and the need to provide parking for various production companies, daytime visitors and studio audiences.
The facility accommodates 1158 cars plus 130 bicycles in a 24-hour security-controlled environment. In order to be sensitive to the adjacent residential neighborhood, the four-level structure was designed one level below grade to reduce the height to that of a two-story home. All exterior walls adjacent to residential property are without openings in order to reduce the effect of noise and light.
