The new PG324 parking structure serves employees and visitors of a large pharmaceutical company in Foster City, CA. Included on its campus is a new research laboratory which was built simultaneously with the six-level parking structure. A steel and glass pedestrian bridge connects the parking facility to the third floor of the lab building providing easy employee access. The seamless connection ensures the garage appears as a cultivated element of a larger, cohesive look rather than a simple standalone structure. As one of several buildings on the corporate campus, matching the architectural vernacular was paramount for parking garage 324.

The 519-space garage includes two landmark vertical circulation towers wrapped in metal panels and glass curtainwall that incorporates the overall campus aesthetic to the structure. A roundabout facilitates safe and efficient passenger drop off and pick up. The garage also features a highly sensitive gate control system that is integrated with the campus badge/security system allowing employees access to the parking structure with the same badge used to access other buildings. Wayfinding graphics throughout the garage assist with orientation and visual cues, while color-wrapped columns code the floor levels and assist users in finding their vehicles.

The parking garage includes landscaping elements and components used throughout the buildings on campus. Sustainable features include electric-vehicle charging stations, bicycle parking, a bioswale which incorporates a partial cantilever-designed walkway above, and a rooftop photovoltaic array that generates energy for the lab building.
